ECONorthwest has an on-call contract with the City of Tucson, Arizona to provide affordable housing financial and development services for planning, underwriting, acquisition, disposition, renovation, and production of affordable residential and mixed-use properties. Since the award of the on-call contract, ECONorthwest has assisted the City to:
Evaluate the financial and development implications of its voluntary inclusionary zoning program as well as leveraging additional incentives to spur development.
Identify site acquisition opportunities suitable for LIHTC affordable housing development
Develop a scoring and ranking methodology to prioritize sites for acquisition according to local policy priorities and to leverage additional tax credit equity.
Analyze the financial feasibility of affordable housing development on two City-owned parcels
