Oregon Business Plan Advising and Analysis

Since 2002, ECOnorthwest has supported the Oregon Business Plan (OBP)–the state’s principal economic development forum. The work involves policy and economic analyses on a wide range of topics, including tax, pension, housing, climate, education, workforce, and safety net policy. Each year, the work culminates in policy proposals and presentations for the Oregon Leadership Summit, which brings together elected, community, and business leaders from across the state. ECOnorthwest has also provided analytic and management support of multi-year initiatives, including Oregon Learns–the business community’s education reform platform–and a partnership with Harvard University-based Opportunity Insights that focused on economic mobility.
