Melissa specializes in education and social policy.

Melissa manages a wide variety of projects related to economic opportunity, education, workforce development, and state and regional economic conditions. She collaborates with foundations, state and local agencies, business organizations, and non-profit service providers to assess prevailing conditions, evaluate programs and policies, and develop evidence-based recommendations. Prior to joining ECONorthwest in 2010, Melissa was the managing editor of Economic Development Quarterly, a peer-reviewed journal focused on the intersection of theory and practice in U.S. economic revitalization.
