Child Equity Index for Tulsa, OK

ECOnorthwest provided policy guidance and data analysis for ImpactTulsa, a Tulsa-based collective impact organization that seeks systemic change to ensure every child in the region has the opportunity to succeed. ECOnorthwest’s work informed ImpactTulsa’s annual community impact reports and supported ImpactTulsa’s work with local school districts to improve outcomes for the region’s students. In 2019, ECO provided advanced analytics and policy analysis to support Impact Tulsa and Tulsa Public Schools in developing a Child Equity Index. The resulting index provides a tool the district and community can use to understand the barriers faced by the district’s students and to focus on improving opportunities for disadvantaged students.
