The Oregon Business Development Department (“Business Oregon” or “Department”), with support from the United States Economic Development Administration (EDA), undertook a COVID-19 economic recovery plan that provided a roadmap to guide Business Oregon’s efforts in contributing to statewide economic recovery.
This includes an in-depth analysis of the regions, industries, and workforce most affected by COVID-19 and strategies for urban and rural communities to return to a more equitable and resilient economy. Best practices from across the country were woven into the plan and recommendations for how existing state programs could be best leveraged were developed.
