Tamar specializes in climate, environmental, and social policy analysis and research.

Tamar joined ECOnorthwest in 2023 and specializes in climate, environmental, and social policy, with a special emphasis in climate resilience and adaptation. At ECOnorthwest, she works on projects across the natural resources and social policy teams at the intersection of social vulnerability and climate. Her work encompasses both quantitative and qualitative policy analysis, strategic planning, and community engagement. Prior to joining ECOnorthwest, Tamar worked on research developing a social vulnerability index for flooding in Texas, consulted on resilience projects for the City of Austin Office of Resilience and the Travis County Department of Natural Resources, and spent several years working for a child and family welfare policy nonprofit in Texas. Tamar is an active member of the American Society of Adaptation Professionals and is a 2022 alum of the Urban Leaders Fellowship.
