Parmis joined ECONorthwest as a research analyst in 2023. She specializes in natural resource economics, data analysis, and socio-historical research. Prior to joining ECO, she served as a research assistant to faculty in the Barnard Economics Department and as a writing fellow at the Barnard Writing Center. Parmis completed her thesis in economics on the prospects for collaborative and sustainable water management in the Klamath Basin, and her thesis in English on human-nature reciprocity and the recovery of a non-colonizing language in David Malouf’s Remembering Babylon.
