David Wright specializes in urban planning and housing policy research and analysis.
David is an Associate at ECOnorthwest who specializes in urban planning and housing policy research and analysis, joining ECOnorthwest in 2026. He has experience working on projects grounded in sociodemographic data and qualitative engagement to provide policy recommendations as well as working as a planner in both local government and community development corporation capacities. Prior to becoming a part of ECOnorthwest, David worked in a research context to better understand both the causes of code enforcement action and how outcomes take shape in communities, neighborhood and corridor planning processes, and a development review role. His planning background is rooted in exploring what kinds of housing exist and are supported to do so across a region. He grew up in and around Denver, is a member of the American Planning Association Legislative and Policy Committee, and is involved with local organizations.
