Akhila joined ECOnorthwest as a research analyst in 2025. She specializes in mixed-methods social science research, with a focus on health equity and social safety nets. During her undergraduate studies, Akhila’s work focused on how social and economic structures affect health and well-being outcomes. After graduating, she was awarded the Henry Richardson Labouisse ’26 Prize, a prestigious prize that enables a graduating senior to engage in a project focused on international justice and development, which she used to conduct public health research at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Across all her work, Akhila applies principles of equity and justice to ensure research is conducted thoughtfully and thoroughly.
