ECOnorthwest conducted a comprehensive study of the economic impact of hospitals in the state of Oregon for the Hospital Association of Oregon, based on 2022 hospital and economic data. The study quantified the economic contributions of hospitals for the state as a whole and by each of the 36 Oregon counties, and also disaggregated those impacts to the 30 state-senate and 60 state-representative district levels. The findings of this study are being used to inform policymakers, health care stakeholders, and the public about the significant role hospitals play in the state economy of Oregon.
