Madeline specializes in affordable housing, finance, research, and policy analysis. At ECONorthwest she has led numerous projects relating to policy analysis and implementation to encourage affordable housing development, scenario-based investigations into the impacts of different market rate housing growth patterns, strategic plans relating to affordable housing development funds and policy tools, and economic studies of homelessness and the housing market. Prior to joining ECONorthwest in 2017, Madeline was an Asset Management Project Assistant at the Housing Development Center where she analyzed the financial operating performance of over 240 affordable housing properties across the State. Before the Housing Development Center, she worked as a financial analyst at a brokerage firm and held numerous research and data internships. including with the City of Beaverton, the Economist Intelligence Unit (Washington, D.C.), and The Brookings Institution (Washington, D.C).
