ECONorthwest partners John Tapogna, Lorelei Juntunen, and Michael Wilkerson discuss the implications of HB 2001 in Oregon. Under HB 2001 multi-family housing can no longer be barred from land previously zoned for single-family houses in cities with more than 25,000 residents. The authors argue that HB 2001 will address Oregon’s undersupplied and high-priced housing, and boost Oregon’s long-run economic prospects.
