ECONorthwest released a report analyzing the tradeoffs associated with removing the four Lower Snake River Dams in Washington. The report includes a benefit-cost analysis and economic impact analysis of removing the dams, in addition to background information on the issue and a summary of the environmental changes that could result. Discussions and research on removing the Lower Snake River Dams have been ongoing for the last two decades, but much of the existing information is either outdated or incomplete. The goal of this report is to provide policymakers and stakeholders with an up-to-date, comprehensive analysis of the effects that could result from decisions to maintain or remove the dams.
