ECONorthwest, AARP Oregon, and Easterseals Oregon present...

On March 6th, 80 Portland area business leaders, non-profit advocates, university officials, and thought leaders joined together at the EcoTrust building for a series of presentations and a panel discussion focused on the 'non-traditional worker'--(older workers, veterans, and people with disabilities). With the Oregon unemployment rate at just 4%, ECONorthwest, AARP, and Easterseals saw a great opportunity to make the economic case for non-traditional workers.

Opening remarks were provided by US Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden, and Mayor Ted Wheeler--all three of whom are committed to seeing older Oregonians, our veterans, and disabled citizens find paths to employment.
