Tom joined ECONorthwest in 2009 and specializes in environmental policy and economics, including environmental valuation, natural resource policy, benefit-cost analysis, and markets for natural resources. In particular, Tom identifies and aligns the supply of and demand for goods and services produced and regulated by natural resources to generate economic models describing the value of these non-market transactions. Prior to joining ECONorthwest, Tom was a Research Assistant for SeaWeb, an ocean conservation organization based in Washington, D.C., where he worked on sustainable seafood market assessment and communication, and conducted research on the sustainable seafood market in the United Kingdom.
